Virginia Beach VW Rat Bus

Featured here is a Volkswagen Bus located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. You can see this bus just off of Pacific Avenue near the RK Surf Shop. This is a bay window VW Bus that looks like it has seen better days but in all its roughness and crudeness I see a truly fun funky vehicle that has its own unique style and beauty.

The top of the bus has been cut away leaving the vehicle wide open making it a somewhat strange convertable. Great for cruising down at the beach in the summer thats for sure. I have actually seen ther owner cruising at the beach with his dog and his woman. You know this ride is a chick magnet!

For added safety the owner added a very nice heavy duty tubular roll cage. Not a bad idea. One of the most interesting features of this VW Bus is the unique sheet metal work used in making the interesting air vents for assisting the cooling of the engine. Add a non matching side view mirror, a couple of non VW tail lights that are normally found on trailers, and the beautiful paint job that reminds one of the fine patinas that you would expect to find on some ancient greek sculpture and what you have is one fine Volkswagen Rat Bus.

If the owner ever decides to sell this bus I will be first in line. I love this Bus! There isn't a day that goes by that if I am driving one of my Volkswagens down at the beach I have to drive by and check out this favorite VW Bus.

I will give this one 5 out of 5 Rats!

I love rust! Rust is your friend that never sleeps!

Look Mom no muffler!

I wonder if it comes with a radio?

Definately a party wagon!
